He founded this movement because since childhood he dreamt of Justice, Freedom, Unity and Peace for all.
The founder first started an online group called "Organic" that meant to encompass solutions to the world's problems starting from our agriculture and economy; to raise awareness and inspire others to take action.
He decided to evolve this group into a bigger concept, into a powerful movement never seen before, that will once and for all, create the change that we need. A few of his friends that were environmentalists, activists and artists, decided to help him out, were excited to participate and started to volunteer their time and energy to this movement, thus, OrganicLegion.org was born!
For a couple years we've been interacting with other communities too, like Current.com, Care2.com and Change.org and many others, in search of anyone that wishes to make a positive difference, inviting them to unite and/or to take part in our unique initiatives. Finally, we are a small movement but growing at a fast pace.
"Are you a non-profit and how do you support yourself as an organization?"
The founder, his team of volunteers and all Legionnaires, do not seek financial donations from anyone, we believe that donations, although very helpful and noble, are not focusing on the big picture of the world's problems; are not going to inspire, produce and lead an ideal, fair and self-sustaining, interdependent economic model; deliberately or not, do not always bring wealth back into a community, a society and a nation.
Also, we have seen too many non-profit organizations fall before they even rise and too many not having enough power to change things.
The first principle adopted into this movement is to treat the causes and not the symptoms. Therefore, the founder's vision and solution to supporting this organization, is that we can make of business a magnanimous, noble benefactor. We can use responsible and ethical advertising sponsorship as a primary financial resource to make a powerful environmental, socioeconomic and political impact.
Moreover, this is a movement that intends to revolutionize, reinvent and evolve the concept of "work" in the world, offering a career to thousands, millions of people that want to make a difference. We will create jobs that people love, jobs that are considered important missions.
Simply, you get to make a living and get to be a hero by safeguarding our Nature, our health, protecting human rights, the well being and the peace of our society, our nation and our world.
As we grow, we will opt out in the future for the creation of an ethical and responsible company for the public benefit. We will go beyond anything ever seen before, beyond a certified B-Corporation and its declaration of interdependence.
Our accounting records will always be made public, and 50% to 70% of the profits will actually be used for the advancement of our causes, development of new initiatives that assure more growth and more successful pursuit of our causes and non-profit operations, as these are our main priorities and always will be!
And so our employees will be our priorities: Every employee is entitled to all kinds of benefits and rights (medical coverage, pension, paid vacation, fair wages, flexible schedules, commissions and profit sharing programs, etc).
Among many initiatives we fight for worker's rights, offering the opportunity to anyone to create their own Job's Legion, where you can organize with your co-workers, unionize to get what you deserve and start changing your life.
Now, we are not promising a fairyland where everyone is rich and happy, inequality will always exist, but we can and want to lead the example to the world that unfair inequality is destructive, and that profit over people and monopoly must be abolished once and for all!
We want to empower every Legionnaire of this movement not just the employees which are Legionnaires too. You will have and grow an action power that translates into concrete, actual changes in America and in our World.
For example, we wish to empower all of us to save children lives, planting trees, feed the poor, provide them with shelters, medications and an occupation. Moreover, we want to offer them the tools to reach independence and interdependence. We want to create local community gardens, build water wells, develop education and/or provide people with any necessary means to be self sufficient.
All of this above is based on the fundamental principle that goes hand in hand with treating the cause and not the symptom as mentioned above: "Give a man a fish, you have fed him for today; teach a man to fish and you have fed him for a lifetime".
Last, we are not affiliated with any political parties, we are our own party! We are proud of ourselves, stand uncompromised and always will but the fate of this movement, whether will triumph or not, of justice, freedom, peace and self sufficiency is in YOUR HANDS.

We believe that art, fiction is a powerful change maker and an inspiring form of expression, and if fused with concrete actions, the dream of a better, just World will come true.
The founder decided to create and name this movement after these two words: ORGANIC and LEGION. He wants to associate metaphorically the meanings of natural, safe and unity as fundamental ones to make a difference, and reaching our goals of Justice and self sufficiency.
The core spirit of the Organic Legion, as stated in Our Causes, is fundamentally based on the principle of BIODIVERSITY. We believe that: Millions and millions of different people holding together, harmonized, each playing a special role, can successfully further the goodness of humanity.
We are the first social movement to create a legal, public petition asking our Government to eliminate the fossil fuel dependency (oil, gas, coal) and embrace safe alternative energy sources once and for all. We created the first petition to eliminate our chemical based agriculture altogether and to embrace an organic agriculture instead, following principles of permaculture and biodiversity.

We have created two more unique initiatives that we consider to be the most powerful actions anyone could ever take to make a difference, and these are: The creation of a Legion; Art that Moves the World! and Stories of Environmental Victims on Your Voice. We focus on local and national journalism that comes from the people. Your voice is what counts here, you make the news, you raise awareness and technology is only going to serve us faster and better through time.
We hope to inspire many to take similar actions that are right on target, again our first principle is to treat the causes and not the symptoms.
This below is the Founder's explanation, in his own words, of the importance and need for a new way of thinking and taking action that abandons the old and ineffective activist's ways to make a difference:
"I had grown tired to see petitions, public attempts asking for temporary moratoriums. Also, campaigns like 'Labeling GMO Food' are important but unfortunately take years to concretize only to be left with laws that continue to permit genetically engineered technology.
These only delay the catastrophic consequences on our health and nature; only continue to accept the fossil fuel industry's monopoly on our economy.
I decided, however, to address the cause not the symptom and incorporate this first principle in our movement, fight the right fight - simple as that. We do not ask to end offshore/onshore oil drilling, coal mining and gas drilling in a particular site/area; we do not ask to stop the approval of a new toxic pesticide or to ban an existing one; these actions, although well-intentioned, are only partially effective, at times redundant, unchanging and can be an oxymoron.
However, we ask to end this above altogether, everywhere and forever and replacing it with evolved, creative, sustainable, pragmatical, renewable and effective solutions. We have been waiting for decades, and it will not happen until people stand up together strategically to change just that.
The most strategic action is also the most simple."
